Job Description:

Correct tools for proper execution of the work.
Must be proficient in understanding mechanical drawings.
While in the work place, responsible for both quality, and safety.
Capable of using hand grinders to grind weld back to original shape and contour.
Review quality documents as required.
Operate and have knowledge of heating torches such as oxy-acetylene and gas torches
Perform other duties as assigned

Additional requirement:

High School Diploma or GED (US)
Comply with ISO certification requirements.
Experience of power generation (gas/steam turbines) and associated auxiliary equipment is preferable.

We require a welding inspector (CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2) to oversee the repairs to a crane boom in a shipyard in Brazil.

Mobilisation w/c 23rd September for 30 days.

Ideally we require someone with previous crane boom repair experience. All flights/accommodation/food/transit/expenses/visa/immunisations are paid for!

We are seeking Professional Welding Inspection with the following skills:
•Welding Inspector:
• Shall be certified welding inspector according to NS 477, CSWIP or another recognized standard
• Shall have documented experience from all relevant NDT methods
• Shall be certified in UT Level II according to ISO 9712 or ACCP
• Shall have good and documented experience in AUT
• Shall be certified coating inspector according to FROSIO
• Shall have minimum 5 years relevant documented experience from stalk fabrication or laying barge.

General qualifications for work on the field:
• Intermediate English (procedures for the inspection are in English)
• Valid certificates for HUET and CBSP (basic offshore certificates)
• Valid medical exam.

OFFSHORE on-demand service for the state of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, on a hiring legal basis. Expected to begin on November 01, 2019.
