Tungsten Size in PQR should be the same in WPS

Hello , i have a WPS that has 2 different size tungsten sizes 1.6, 2.4. In the PQR they only used 2.4 so thats all they can use in the WPS as the amps have been lowered to use a smaller size. This is good for the welder as he has a greater range but i dont feel its correct to do ?.Any advice would be good thanks in advance.
