hello expert , what is the mode of transfer for FCAW if shielding gas using 100% CO2?
TQ
Globular Transfer when 100% CO2 shielding gas is applied.
We can choose spray transfer with electrode classification ie. EXXT-1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & T-11. Globular just acceptable only for flat position.
If I use E316LT1-1 with 100% shielding gas?
sorry,100% co2 shielding gas
Carbon dioxide provides several advantages for use in welding steel, such as deep penetration, low cost, and it promotes a globular transfer. The carbon dioxide shielding gas breaks down into components, such as carbon monoxide and oxygen. Because carbon dioxide is an oxidizing gas, deoxidizing elements are added to the core of the electrode wire to remove oxygen.

E316LT1-14 is a flux cored wire for welds on stainless steels, do you have confused?
it should be E316LT-1/4. “-1” - 100% CO2, “-4” - mix CO2 and argon.
Most projects require -4 instead of -1, because CO2 hotter than mix gases.
