  1. PQR: testing and examination are required in table 2 (Levell 2)
  2. CVN requirement at 4 locations: weld metal, fusion line, fusion line +2 and fusion line + 5 mm.

Preparation

Pipe to pipe, butt joint.

  • Thickness t1 = t2 = 12.0 mm (Machining)
  • 200 mm in length per piece (material see 2.1)
  • H-L045 (6G) position, fix pipe 45°

Plate to plate

  • Plate t1 = t2 = 25.4 mm, length 350 mm, width 150 mm (material see 2.3).
  • PF (3G) and PC (2G) position for hardness only
  • Backing by ceramic or back gouging.

PQR13-01.33: pipe to pipe in branch connection.

  • Pipe DN150 10.97 mm (see 2.2) to Pipe NPS 8” x12.7 mm (see 2.1)
  • Branch pipe, length 150 mm
  • Man pipe, length min. 550 mm
  • PC(2G) position, angle 45 degree.
